Our Story
Two expats. Two dogs back home, missed every single day.
We are Maxim (from Belgium) and Leonardo (from Spain). Like many expats, we moved to Amsterdam for our careers and fell in love with the city - the canals, the cycling culture, the beautiful parks.
But there was a massive piece missing. Back home with our families were our dogs - safe, loved, and very much missed. If you have ever had to leave a loyal, wagging tail behind when you moved abroad, you know exactly how quiet an apartment feels without them.
We found ourselves constantly stopping to pet the dogs in Amsterdam's parks. And we realised something: we could pour all that missing love into protecting and spoiling yours. So we launched Happy Tails Club - the community we were looking for, and the box we wished existed.

We rotate between Amsterdam's best dog-friendly parks. Vondelpark, Westerpark, Beatrixpark - each month somewhere new.

Amsterdam's most iconic park. Large off-leash area near the rose garden. Best in the morning before the cyclists take over.

More relaxed than Vondelpark, great off-leash area and the Westergasfabriek surroundings are very dog-friendly. Our favourite for meetups.

Quieter and more local. Great for off-leash running. Often used for our community meetups. Less crowded on weekends.

Walk route
The Canal Ring walk
Start at Jordaan, walk along the Prinsengracht south toward Leidseplein and back via Keizersgracht. 45 mins, completely flat, dog heaven.
Park - Waterside
Amstelpark
Large, quiet park in south Amsterdam with an off-leash area. Perfect for bigger dogs who need space. Less known by tourists.
